What is a jockey box?

A jockey box is a portable draft system that uses COâ‚‚ and an ice-water bath to instantly chill beverages as they are poured, without electricity or refrigeration.

What can be served?

Beacon Tap Co.’s equipment can serve any beverage that comes in a standard keg.

Does Beacon Tap Co.
supply the Serving Staff

Beacon Tap Co. does not provide on-site serving staff for events but we are available by phone for support/questions if needed. We can also recommend licensed bartenders if your event requires serving staff.

Yes, refrigeration helps preserve a keg before your event. On the day of your event, refrigeration is not required—Beacon Tap Co.’s jockey box chills each pour on demand, even if the keg is at room temperature.

How does delivery, setup,
and pickup work?

Can Beacon Tap Co. pick
up the kegs for my event?

Yes. As a dry-hire service, Beacon Tap Co. can pick up and transport client-purchased kegs for an event for an additional fee. All kegs and beverages remain the property and responsibility of the client at all times. Beacon Tap Co. does not sell, supply, or take ownership of alcohol.
